Independence

• No advertiser, sponsor, affiliate partner or investor can buy, approve or change our editorial coverage.
• We do not accept payment, gifts or favours in exchange for coverage, positive or otherwise.
• We do not sell links, “guest posts”, guaranteed rankings or permanent link placements.

Conflicts of interest

• Writers and editors must disclose any personal or financial interest in the companies, people or products they cover, including investments, employment, clients and close relationships.
• Where a conflict exists, the writer either steps away from the story or the conflict is disclosed in the article.

Gifts, travel and review products

• We do not accept gifts beyond token items of negligible value.
• If a company provides a product for review, or pays for travel or access, we disclose it in the article. Products are returned or donated unless otherwise disclosed.

Fairness

• We aim to represent people and organisations accurately, and we give them a reasonable chance to respond to significant criticism.
• We distinguish clearly between reporting, analysis and opinion.

Topics we don’t promote
