About Pointales

Pointales is an independent digital publication. We explain how business and technology work, what is changing, and what it means for the people and companies affected.

Our name is a promise: every story should have a point. We would rather publish one useful explainer than ten articles that repeat the news.

What we cover

We are starting with two sections and adding more only when we can cover them well:

  • Business: companies, markets, strategy, the economy, and the decisions behind them.
  • Technology: how products and platforms work, what new technology changes, and what it means for readers and businesses.

How we work

  • Sources first. Factual claims link to primary sources wherever possible: official data, filings, research and reputable reporting.
  • Clarity over volume. We publish fewer, stronger stories and update them when the facts change.
  • Independence. Advertisers and partners never decide what we cover or what we conclude. Sponsored content is always clearly labelled.
  • Corrections. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so.
